2018 IMJIN CLASSIC HOCKEY GAME USHERS IN THE PYEONGCHANG GAMES THROUGH PURE INSPIRATION
VANCOUVER, BC – The Honourable Yonah Martin, is pleased to announce the historic 2018 Imjin Classic (a commemorative hockey game) that took place in Paju City, South Korea (at the site of the original hockey played during the Korean War) on January 19, 2018. This historic event was organized to mark the 65th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice and to honour the legacy of Canadians (and others) who served and sacrificed during the war. The original games of the 1950’s and the 2018 game capture the spirit and pride of those who played in the midst of a war that was fierce and divisive.
